Kathmandu, September 10, 2026: The Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPI) Nepal has provided financial support of NPR 3.1 million to assist the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the devastating flood and landslides in the Bhotekoshi River area of Rasuwa on August 26, 2026.
MPI Nepal collected the support amount from its member organizations. The total NPR 3.1 million was handed over to the Hon. Finance Minister of Nepal on September 10. The amount has been provided to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rescue efforts for people affected by the disaster.
MPI Nepal expressed hope that the contribution will provide some support to citizens who have suffered significant losses to their homes, property, and daily lives due to the disaster.
MPI Nepal President Dipak Kumar Malhotra, Vice President Sanjay Agrawal, and other Executive Committee members handed over the support amount to the Finance Minister.
On the occasion, President Dipak Kumar Malhotra said that everyone has a shared responsibility to stand with citizens affected by such difficult situations. He appreciated the goodwill and support shown by the member organizations and thanked all members for their contribution toward helping people affected by the disaster.
