The IBM TechX program, focused on digital technology, automation and cybersecurity capacity building in Sudurpaschim Province, was held in Dhangadhi on September 30 (Asoj 15).
The program was organized with the collaboration and initiative of One Cover Private Limited, a South Asian cybersecurity and technology company. Representatives from the provincial government, CAN Federation, academic institutions and the cybersecurity sector participated in the event.
Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Khagaraj Bhatta was the chief guest. Acting President of the CAN Federation Chiranjivi Adhikari, Vice President Harka Seti, Central Member Omkar Shrestha and President of CAN Federation Sudurpaschim Province Dhiren Bogati also attended the program.
Other participants included PCPS Chief Growth Officer Kripa Shrestha, PCPS Officer Rishika Dahal and Baburam Shrestha, AI Consultant at One Cover Private Limited.
The program discussed digital governance, enterprise automation and technical skills development. Participants also highlighted the growing importance of securing institutional digital assets as organizations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence, cloud architecture and automation technologies.
According to the organizers, the initiative aims to support the development of local technical talent through collaboration with initiatives such as the IBM TechXchange Automation User Group Nepal and the IBM Innovation Center at Christ University.
The organizers also said concepts such as IBM’s Tech Re-entry Program, which seeks to reconnect professionals who have taken career breaks with the technology sector, could help contribute to the development of skilled technical human resources in Sudurpaschim Province.
