Integrated Digital Pension Service launched

काठमाडौं ।

The Department of National Personnel Records has officially launched an Integrated Digital Pension Service from today, marking a major step toward digitalization of public service delivery in Nepal.

The service was inaugurated here friday during a formal ceremony where Department’s authorities announced that all pension-related processes will now be managed digitally.

Shrawan Kumar Pokharel, Director General of the Department, stated that the newly inaugurated service will end compulsion and hassle for civil servants to physically visit the Pension Office to avail retirement-related services as pensions and gratuity.

Pokharel further mentioned. “We have upgraded our core services through digital transformation. Now, all services can be accessed digitally without requiring the physical presence of service seekers.”

According to him, the Treasury and Financial Controller offices across all 77 districts will serve as facilitating agencies for the integrated digital pension system. These offices have been granted access to the new system.

He said that once the system’s effectiveness and reliability are fully established, it will be expanded to all relevant offices handing retirement procedures.

The digitization of retirement-related service is aimed at making the service fast, efficient and technology-friendly. RSS
