Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has revoked the licenses of Paywell Nepal and Sajilo Pay Payment. The central bank has stated that the license granted to operate as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) has been revoked.
Paywell Nepal Pvt. Ltd. was granted the license on Asoj 11, 2077 and Sajilo Pay Payment on Chaitra 17, 2077. The licenses of these payment service providers have been revoked as they were found to have violated various provisions of the Fraud and Settlement Act, Payment and Settlement Regulations, Integrated Directives on Payment Systems, and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, as per NRB.
As per the decision of the NRB Board of Directors on Thursday, the central bank has informed the public that the licenses of these payment service providers have been revoked.
