In a grand culmination of a 5 month long journey, SALICO Presents NYEF Startup Awards held its finale on January 12th, 2024.
The finale was graced by Honorable Chief Secretary of Nepal, Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, as chief guest of the event and Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of FNCCI, as special guest of the event. Immediate Past President of FNCCI, Mr. Shekhar Golchha, and Senior Vice President, Mr. Anjan Shrestha, were also present in the finale. Vice presidents, office bearers and past presidents from FNCCI were among the distinguished guests for the event.
The 7 finalists pitched in front of a panel of expert judges: Ms. Sewa Pathak, CEO of Vianet Communications, Mr. Niranjan Shrestha, Executive Director at Laxmi Group, and Mr. Ajit Shah, CEO of Lotus Holdings. The audience was also involved, as they got to vote for their favorites for the audience choice award.
Galli Express Pvt. Ltd won the NYEF Startup Awards, receiving a cash prize of Rs. 400,000. It is led by the visionary Mr. Raj Bikram Maharjan. Galli Maps is the most detailed map of Nepal with information of house numbers, alley and 360 view. Our maps help businesses deliver their products/services at their customers’ doorstep easily and accurately.
The position of First Runner Up was shared between Quickfox Consulting and PetMama Nepal. They also shared the Rs. 200,000 cash prize. Quickfox Consulting was represent by Ms. Sona Singh. Quickfox Consulting provides advanced RPA solution, streamlining tedious, rule-based tasks for companies. This solution enhances efficiency, elevates productivity, and sets higher customer service standards by eliminating manual errors and time-consuming processes.
PetMama Nepal is led by Ms. Nikita Jalan. PetMama Nepal is a one stop pet care solution offering Grooming, Retail, a Pet Hotel, a Pet Bakery, and a Dog Day Care Service. Our comprehensive services, including training/ socialisation and consultation, aim to establish PetMama as the preferred brand for all pet owners in Nepal, embodying our commitment – “One Mama for All Your Pet Care Needs.”
PetMama Nepal also bagged the Audience Choice Award, a testament to the startup that resonated most with the audience. They received a Rs. 50,000 cash prize.
Recognizing the profound impact of startups addressing social challenges, the Social Enterprise Award, with a Rs. 50,000 cash prize, was presented to Dursikshya Education, spearheaded by Krishna Pandey. Dursikshya is an innovative educational organization committed to advancing STEM education.
