ICT Foundation Nepal conducted the “Bagmati Orientation Session” at Techspire College in Kathmandu. The program, aimed at promoting incubation and entrepreneurship development, saw active participation from 12 out of 15 registered startup teams.
Participating startups included AgriPortal, Buildakar Innovations, Caregiver Management System, Match 24 Orbitals, MS Digital Auto Solution Pvt. Ltd., NepTrack, Next Core System, Retail Sathi, Sampark Digital Loyalty, Satkarma Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., The Visionaries Nepal and Vending King Pvt. Ltd. Takum Digital Counseling Marketplace, Cloud Saathi and Health Aid AI Nepal were absent from the session.
Each participating team introduced themselves and presented their startup ideas in 2–3 minute pitches. In the interactive session that followed, entrepreneur Bhushan Giri shared his journey and emphasized the importance of managing legal and financial aspects from the early stages.
He encouraged startups not to wait for a perfect product and to move forward even at the prototype stage. He also highlighted the importance of clarity in roles and responsibilities among co-founders and recommended adopting the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework. Additionally, he spoke about the significance of elevator pitches.
Similarly Resham Bhandari stressed prioritizing solutions over ideas, stating that entrepreneurs should “fall in love with the solution, not the idea,” and encouraged clarity and practicality in business development.
From Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), Engineer Umesh Gupta shared that out of 75 applications, 42 institutions were selected including ICT Foundation Nepal. He noted that the initiative aims to position Nepal as a hub for IT engineers and innovators.
Laxman Pokharel from Techspire College highlighted the college’s continued involvement in incubation programs and extended best wishes to all selected teams. The session also included a Question and Answer and open discussion segment and concluded at 4:00 PM.
ICT Foundation Nepal has been actively supporting early-stage startups through such orientation and incubation programs by providing mentorship, investment readiness support, business development guidance and networking opportunities.
According to the organization, this initiative is expected to further strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Bagmati Province.
