Gogoro, the global leader in battery-swapping technology for two-wheel electric vehicles, has successfully activated 45 fully operational battery swap stations across Kathmandu Valley.
Fulfilling its commitment, Gogoro prioritized building a strong network infrastructure before entering retail sales. This milestone represents a significant leap in Gogoro’s mission to transform urban mobility in Nepal with sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
According to company, strategically placed every 2–3 kilometers, Gogoro’s 45 swap stations ensure seamless access to fully charged batteries, eliminating the wait time for charging. With a simple swap that takes less than six seconds, riders can enjoy uninterrupted travel, redefining convenience for electric vehicle users in Nepal.
Currently the stations are located in petrol pumps, marts and other strategic locations to ensure easy accessibility to all Gogoro customers. As of today, there are more than 100 swaps per day in Kathmandu as per company.
