TikTok hosted a vibrant Tihar celebration event in Nepal to commemorate the festival of lights as a part of its global Diwali campaign. The event brought together popular Nepali TikTok creators and artists to share their unique traditions and create inspiring content.
The event brought together popular TikTok creators and artists like Wangden Sherpa, Roneeshma Shrestha, Rehan Shrestha, Sushma Karki, Anish Tamang, Eva Giri, Mohan Adhikari, Manjita Manandhar, Prajina, Anjana Aryal and many more. It was a fun-filled evening where creators celebrated Tihar together with the hashtags #Tihar2024 and #TiharAayo.
TikTok’s Tihar celebration offered a range of engaging activities for creators to participate in. The guest creators shared fun content related to Tihar, showcasing traditional customs and festive attire.
Creating a festive celebration also included fun activities such as lighting diyas, performing traditional deusi bhailo dances, creating rangoli designs with eco-friendly colors and flowers, enjoying stand-up comedy, and participating in pottery activities. A live Nepali band added a touch of authenticity to the celebration.
