Esewa Money Transfer has been recognized for its significant contribution to remittance inflows in the country.
On its 69th anniversary, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) honored Esewa Money Transfer for achieving the third-highest remittance collection, accounting for 12.1% of total remittances among remittance companies in the fiscal year 2022/23. NRB Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari presented a Letter of Appreciation to Esewa Money Transfer’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Ajesh Koirala, at a special ceremony held at the central bank’s office on Friday.
The NRB stated that the acknowledgment was due to the company’s significant role in contributing to the country’s economic stability, socio-economic reform, and maintaining balance in the external sector through the inflow of remittances.
Upon receiving the Letter of Appreciation, CEO Koirala expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that this recognition serves as additional motivation for Esewa Money Transfer to persist in delivering top-notch remittance services to Nepalese communities worldwide through innovative digital technologies.
