Team InnoVision has won the top prize at the Yantra Business Cup: Softbots Agentic AI Hackathon with its disaster-response system “Bipad Sathi,” while Team 0xNull secured the runner-up position with “Pravah.”
Team PWM (Power With Mind) received the Mentor’s Choice Award for its “Crisis Pilot” prototype.
The two-day hackathon was held on September 20–21, 2026, at Sunway College in Kathmandu under Yantra X 2026 — the Intelligence & Entrepreneurship Festival. The event challenged student teams to develop Agentic AI solutions for disaster response, with the theme chosen in response to the flash flood that affected communities along the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli corridor, from Rasuwagadhi and Timure through Syaphrubesi, Mailung and Betrawati to Nuwakot.
The event featured presentations from disaster-response experts, including Er. Lokendra Adhikari of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), Dr. Rajesh Thapa of ICIMOD’s Glaciers-to-Ocean (G2O) Programme and Baibhav Khadka, Managing Director of TekBay International.
On the second day, participants attended sessions on business model development and AI agent development before presenting their prototypes to a judging panel comprising Kshitiz Rimal, CEO of Next AI; Baibhav Khadka, Managing Director of TekBay International; and Birodh Rijal, Co-Founder and CEO of Integrated ICT Pvt. Ltd.
InnoVision received the Rs. 50,000 champion prize for “Bipad Sathi.” The system uses 24/7 highway camera feeds to automatically detect incidents, alert relevant authorities and recommend emergency resources, including ambulances and police.
The runner-up team, 0xNull, received Rs. 30,000 for “Pravah.” The system combines rainfall and river-monitoring data to forecast potential disasters and uses an AI reasoning agent to deliver district-specific alerts to communities before disasters occur.
The Mentor’s Choice Award went to PWM for “Crisis Pilot,” which allows citizens to file emergency reports that can automatically trigger drones to locate and track people in danger. The prototype also includes a public transparency feed and live status updates for government officials.
A total of 12 teams participated in the competition, including Skill Makers, Status 200, PWM, 0xNull, NEP AI Solutions, Sahayak, Yukti, Third Eye, ResQ, Terra Nova, Aegis Echo, GGSRC and InnoVision.
The Yantra Business Cup: Softbots Agentic AI Hackathon was organized by the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) as part of Yantra X 2026 in partnership with Sunway College, Kathmandu.
