As ride-hailing continues to expand across Nepal’s urban centres, inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, is reinforcing its commitment to user safety while upholding its core principle of freedom of choice. Through in-app safety features and ongoing awareness initiatives, inDrive empowers users with practical guidance to help them make informed decisions before, during, and after every ride ensuring a safer, more confident, and transparent travel experience.
Safety Before the Ride
Before starting a trip, inDrive encourages users to review key driver details available within the app, including the driver’s name, photo, and vehicle information. Passengers are also advised to share their trip details with trusted contacts, allowing loved ones to stay informed in real time. These measures support users in exercising informed choice while planning their journeys.
Safety During the Ride
During the ride, users can share their live location using in-app options, helping maintain transparency throughout the journey. To protect personal privacy, inDrive offers a masked call feature that enables riders and drivers to communicate without revealing phone numbers. In case of discomfort or emergency, the in-app SOS button allows users to quickly seek assistance, adding an extra layer of security while allowing passengers to stay in control of their ride.
Safety After the Ride
After completing a trip, users are encouraged to rate their driver and provide honest feedback. inDrive’s reporting and feedback mechanisms allow users to raise concerns or share suggestions, supporting continuous improvement, stronger accountability, and a safer community for both passengers and drivers.
Ms. Rita Pokharel, Country Representative, inDrive Nepal, said, “As Nepal’s urban mobility ecosystem continues to evolve, safety and freedom of choice must go hand in hand. By equipping users with clear information and easy-to-use safety tools, we enable them to travel with confidence while staying in control of their decisions.”
