काठमाडौं ।
Tele Digital Services Pvt. Ltd. (a Ramesh Corp. entity), with participation with Meta, today hosted a landmark event, ‘The Converference’.
The landmark industry programme brought together corporate leaders, brand marketers, and digital decision-makers from across Nepal Corporate Sectors to explore the future of business communication through the WhatsApp Business API.
The event marked a significant milestone for Nepal’s digital landscape, featuring a keynote address by Mr. Albert Tiong, Regional Partnership Manager, APAC at Meta, to address the gathering. Mr. Tiong’s presence underscored Meta’s recognition of Nepal as an emerging and strategically important market for conversational commerce.
The Converference brought together executives from some of Nepal’s most recognised companies to explore how WhatsApp Business API can transform customer service, lead generation, sales conversion, retention, and personalised communication at scale.
The programme highlighted global business messaging trends and shared platform insights on the rapid growth of conversational commerce worldwide — including the fact that over one billion people connect with businesses across Meta’s messaging platforms every week.
As per the company claims, with WhatsApp already deeply embedded in how Nepalis communicate, the programme spotlighted the opportunity for Nepali businesses to adopt more direct, trusted, and measurable forms of customer engagement — moving beyond traditional channels such as SMS and email.
“Nepal is at an exciting inflection point for business messaging, and we see that accelerating momentum in markets exactly like this one. The WhatsApp Business Platform is built to serve businesses of every size — from a family-run retailer in Thamel to a national bank — and the infrastructure is ready for Nepali brands to start building on today. Our message is straightforward: the conversation with your customer is already happening on WhatsApp; the only question is whether your brand is part of it.”
Sanjay Agrawal, Executive Director, Ramesh Corp., said in this event after addressing the gathering, “For more than fifty years, Ramesh Corp. has stood alongside Nepali businesses as a partner in growth and progress. Supporting Tele Digital reflects that same commitment — ensuring Nepali enterprises have direct access to the world’s most powerful digital platforms with local support, local payments, and full platform capability.”
Navankur Sood, CEO, Tele Digital Services Pvt. Ltd., the visionary behind this entire event to ensure Meta focus comes to Nepal Market, has managed more than 2 years of deliberate effort on creating an ecosystem with Meta Ads, Google Ads, and now Whatsapp API offering for Nepali businesses, said, “People don’t want to be sold to — they want to buy, and they want to buy in a conversation, not a broadcast. Our focus must be on creating a comprehensive digital ecosystem that works strictly in favor of a ‘customer-first’ approach. When we prioritize the customer’s needs, their natural interactions with a brand allow us to begin building a deeply valuable, structured database. The WhatsApp Business API gives Nepali businesses the ability to meet customers exactly where they already are, in a channel they trust, with communication that feels personal rather than promotional. The Converference is our commitment to building this market from the ground up, because Tele Digital exists to be the new friend for your business.”
