काठमाडौं ।
A national-level cybersecurity competition, Cyber BattleGround’25, is set to take place online on December 20, offering Nepalese students and aspiring ethical hackers an opportunity to test and enhance their cybersecurity skills.
Organizers claim the event as Nepal’s biggest beginner-friendly online Capture The Flag (CTF) competition, aimed at encouraging students, newcomers, and tech enthusiasts to explore ethical hacking through practical, hands-on challenges. The competition will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Cyber BattleGround’25 features a prize pool of NPR 5 lakhs, with an early-bird entry fee of NPR 999 available until December 15. The fully online event will include multiple challenge categories such as web exploitation, OSINT, forensics, and others designed to match various skill levels.
Participants will receive certificates, while top performers will have the opportunity to showcase their ranks on their CVs, a benefit the organizers believe will support career development for young learners in the cybersecurity field.
With demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals rising in Nepal, the organizers say the event aims to inspire and nurture the country’s next generation of cybersecurity talent. They have called on media outlets to help promote the initiative and highlight its relevance to youth pursuing IT and cybersecurity studies.
