काठमाडौं ।
Continuing the success of last year’s impactful collaboration, Ncell Foundation announced to continue the social collaboration with the Nepal Premiere League (NPL), reinforcing its commitment to driving social cause through sports.
Under this initiative, for every boundary (4s) hit during the NPL matches, the Foundation will provide 4 educational kits to students from community schools in rural and remote areas of Nepal, targeting the students from marginalised communities.
Last year, the Foundation had pledged over 2,612 kits from 653 4s hit during the first season of NPL. It successfully distributed more than 9,000 educational kits across the country, including the 2,612 kits under the 4s for 4 initiative, empowering thousands of students with essential learning materials.
Encouraged by this success, the initiative continues this year with the goal of reaching even more learners in need. Each kit to be provided to students will include essential items such as school bags, notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and more. These materials are expected to help reduce the shortage of resources and are believed to contribute to students’ learning.
“Cricket connects us all, and through this collaboration, we aim to channel its energy into empowering young minds,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director at Ncell. “Every boundary scored is another step toward brighter futures for students who deserve equal opportunities to learn and grow.”
The distribution of the kits will be carried out in coordination with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), local authorities and implementing partner—Karmayog Foundation to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries.
This initiative underscores Ncell Foundation’s ongoing dedication to transforming excitement on the cricket field into real impact in classrooms — turning every 4s into a step toward a more educated Nepal.
