Esewa Money Transfer launched “Mero Digital Desh” initiative 2 years back with the motive of raising awareness about the benefits of digital remittance and encouraging the use of formal channels for sending money to Nepal. In the first phase of the campaign, Mr. Purna Bahadur Shrestha won a brand-new home in Kathmandu and to give continuity to this impactful initiative, 10 months, ago, Esewa Money Transfer announced to give a brand-new home in Kathmandu again to one lucky winner who sends money from abroad to eSewa wallet.
Nepalese residing anywhere around the world can participate in the campaign by sending remittances directly to the eSewa wallet of their beneficiaries using Esewa Money Transfer’s services. With this initiative, the company aims to raise awareness about the benefits of digital remittance and promote the use of formal channels for sending money.
The company has unveiled the grand prize for the winner of the campaign – a two-and-a-half-storied house built on an area of 898.36 sq. ft. in Imadol, Ward No. 3, Lalitpur, Also, considering the active participation, company has decided to extend the campaign till Kartik 30, 2081 (November 15, 2024). Participants will be automatically eligible in the campaign when they send money through Esewa Money Transfer to the registered and verified eSewa wallet during this period.
According to Ajesh Koirala, CEO, Esewa Money Transfer, ‘The decision to extend the campaign was made after considering the overwhelmingly positive response from the Nepali community living abroad.
