काठमाडौं ।
Lawmakers from the opposition have warned that they would obstruct the House proceedings if the government failed to address contemporary issues.
Likewise, they have also demanded the resignation of Health and Population Minister Mohan Bahadur Basnet, whose statement was taken by the authority in the TERAMOCS scandal.
In a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, the CPN (UML) demanded time before the Speaker to put their opinion.
UML lawmaker Raghuji Pant sought resignation of Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, on a moral ground as he was being interrogated by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
“…Ethically, the most serious thing is that from the Panchayat period until now, no minister has held a position after CIAA has taken a statement and called to take a statement. But now the minister has gone to give statement with the flag-waving,” said leader Pant,
He also took time to express his grudges over the non-implementation of a report on death of two youths in a police firing at Balkumari, Lalitpur.
