Successful testing of Nepal’s first high-altitude balloon ‘Pico-Hab’

A team of students studying in various departments under Kathmandu University, School of Engineering and School of Science have successfully tested Pico-Hab today.

Sdus KU Chapter under Seds Nepal has successfully tested Pico-Hab. Pico-Hab is a smaller version of Nepal’s first high-altitude balloon project, Project Udaya.

Orion Space and Green Hydrogen Lab assisted in testing Pico-Hab.

According to Sudan Baral, president of Seds KU said that, after the successful testing of Pico-Hab, the project Uday will be also tested before Dashain. Seds KU has announced Cubesat, Rocketery etc.

Projects apart from these. In addition, research on GNSS for Disaster Management and Mitigation, Cleaner and Safer Rocket Fuel, Satellite Image Processing and other topics is ongoing. Seds KU has also been running Space News and Space Talks programs.
